National Library Week

National Library Week is in April! Let’s celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians. Contact the Library to borrow these books about libraries, or any other books.

Accessible Red Sox Baseball

Like any true Red Sox fan, Brian Charlson (husband of Library Director Kim Charlson) attends as many games as possible and listens to the rest, play by play, on the radio. But when it came to reading stats, his blindness sometimes got in the way.

Litter Bug

Make a litter bug for Earth Day. This easy craft is made from an egg carton section and junk. Photo. Sample Litter Bug craft

Gather:

  • A segment of a paper egg carton
  • Glue
  • Junk, recycling material, twigs, and other found objects, like plastic lids, bottle caps, packing material, etc.

Use a single segment of an egg carton for the litter bug's body. Use discarded objects to make eyes, mouth, legs, hair, and other body parts. Glue them to the egg carton segment. Now you have a litter bug made from recycled materials!


Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Described Movies

Order RCM 1012 to read Greg Heffley’s diary of his life as a seventh-grader. He and his best friend, Rowley, fend off bullies and hope just to survive. Then Rowley becomes popular, and Greg must take drastic measures to rescue their friendship.
