The Kilimanjaro Blind Trust, Inc. (KBT) funds projects administered by Perkins with the goal that each child who is blind in school in East Africa has his or her own braille machine, so they can be literate, and thus educated, and thus lead productive and fulfilling lives.
Your support provides children in East Africa with more braillers, trains more braille repair technicians, and increases braille literacy throughout the region.
Over the years I have run several marathons in support of KBT. This June, I will pass the torch to my son Philippe who will take on Ironman Austria to raise additional funds for the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust. While he is swimming 3.86 km (2.4 miles), biking 180.25 km (112 miles) and then running 42.2 Km (26.2 miles), he will know that every step is working to improve literacy rates for children who are blind in Africa.
Please join me to make a donation to sponsor 1, 2 or 5 braillers and enable more braille repair throughout East Africa. I truly appreciate your generosity, and thank you in advance for your support.
